Biography :

Formed in Jacksonville, FL in 1987 by founding members Marc (lead guitar) and Sharky (vocals), the Sonic
Lords strived to achieve success with their musical blend of punk rock, heavy metal, muscle cars, loose dames,

and last but never least...more beer.

Their journey continued when they moved their base of operations to the New York area in 1988.  There they

teamed up with 'moody' Mike on bass, 'Big Al' on guitar, and lest ye forget...Sir Rick Vengeance on the drums.

After several years of jammin' on the road and at home as well as attempts to record a studio album, the Sonic

Lords parted ways with their original vocalist.  In the vocal vacuum, the Sonic Lords continued with their lead

guitarist on vocals.  For a time, the Sonic Lords also brought on their friend Damon to be the front man as well.
Eventually, after being fucked over by many sleazy industry types, and the constant strain of everyday life on the

band, they put their axes down and retreated to the Crypt of the Sonic Lords.
But the story doesn't end there...for several years the bassist and drummer continued their rock 'n' roll dreams

and continued as the band 'Abbie Normal'.  Due to one thing or the other, that band faded as well.
In 2002, however, the Crypt of the Sonic Lords became restless again!  At this point the latest clone from

the Sonic Lords baby factory reached the zenith of its heavy metal maturity and the band regrouped once again.

At this point the lineup consisted of Marc, the founding guitarist, 'Pirate' Mike on bass, Nicky Sonic on vocals,

and Rick Vengeance on the drums.
It was at this point that the Sonic Lords released their first studio album 'Mystery and Madness' which also

included the unreleased classic bonus LP 'Scenes of Horror'.  Following the 'More Beer Tour '04', the Sonic

Lords began work on their next album 'Salty Sea Tales'.
Unfortunately during this time period, 'Pirate' Mike became M.I.A. as captain of a ‘borrowed’ Spanish

Galleon in the Devil's Triangle.  Due to this sudden loss, the remaining members eventually fell dormant and

again returned to the 'Crypts of the Sonic Lords'.
It was at this point in the storied history of the Sonic Lords that the shock troops mobilized and began work on

Sonic Lords 'the DVD'.  Although still under construction, several copies have since leaked out into circulation.

31+ years have passed since the Sonic Lords first formed, but don't count them out yet!
The Crypts of the Sonic Lords never stay closed for long!
